    Bergamo is a beautiful Italian city and is a car-free old town built on seven heights. «This is a place where you could stay a while if you had the time and money. You could live like in a Fellini film; walk around with cuff links, eat long lunches, learn the clarinet or write your masterpiece »

    The city has two centers, Alta and Bassa, which both originate from 49 BC. They are linked with a cable car and hiking trails. In Alta you will find the historical attractions, as well as cobblestone streets with small shops and cafes. Bassa is modern with more buildings and boasts the shopping district Via 20 Settembre.

    We keep our luggage in the hotel before we, along with a guide, have a small tour of Bergamo before eating lunch.

    		Check-in at the hotel after lunch
    19:45 We meet at the reception and go to the restaurant of the evening
    20:00 Dinner at Taverna Valtellinese

    Saturday, May 4th

    08:45 Meet up in the reception for today's excursion
    10:15 -  ca. 18:20 Excursion with a 2 hour boat trip

    		We will visit the village of Peschiera Maraglio on the island of Monte Isola where we will also eat lunch.
    There will also be time to look around the island. This is a wonderful, older fishing village with the characteristic 18th century St. Michael's church.
    In the village there are charming narrow streets, beautiful gardens and a park with olive trees.
    17:15 Departure by boat to Sulzano where the bus is waiting
    17:30 Bus back to Bergamo
    19:30 Meet up in the lobby, for a walk to the restaurant 
    20:15 Dinner at Da Mimmo
