The hotel

We will stay at Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. The hotel is the winner of 2014 HolidayCheck TopHotel Award and is near several attractions such as The Anne Frank Museum, The Van Gogh Museum and The Nine Streets Shopping District.

Beverages for the meals are pre-ordered at each meal. All drinks purchased beyond this must be paid by each participant.

13:00 Estimated arrival at the hotel           
Luggage will be left at the hotel and the guide follows us to lunch (ca 10 minutes to walk)
13:30 Lunch at Restaurant in De Waag
15:00 The guide follows the group back to the hotel
19:15 We meet in the lobby and walk to a dock nearby
19:30 - 21:00 Canal Cruise
The trip ends near Pasta e Basta
21:15 Tapas at Pasta e Basta
00:15 Return to the hotel with bus and guide

We travel with bus from the hotel at 09:50
12:00 The guide meets the group at decided place for return with bus to the hotel

  • Penne cacciatore with chicken meatballs. A sauce of tomato, Chianti and served with crunchy chicken
  • Ravioli filled with Tallegio and Ricotta cheese. Served in a brown butter sauce with fried garlic, sage and almonds
  • Spaghetti with gamba, chili, lime, yellow cherry tomatoes and parsley

Limoncello Liqueur (Italian lemon liqueur)
GRAND DESSERT

Includes 3 glasses the house's red or white wine, beer, mineral water, water and coffee/tea

Dinner saturday at De Roode Leeuw

  • Dried 'procureur' ham and croquette of Gouda cheese
  • Medallions of beef with bearnaise sauce
  • French toast with blackberry compote, curd and ice cream with brandied raisins
