Continues collaboration with Klaipėda City Municipality
For the third consecutive year, Omega 365 Lithuania has joined a collaborative initiative with the Klaipėda City Municipality, giving local high school students the chance to gain work experience in IT. This summer, six students joined the team in Klaipėda, where they worked hands-on with automated software testing.

Their efforts were guided by colleagues Saulius Bliūdžius, Matas Sudmantas, Ignas Šabanas, and Arminas Lužinas.
Department Manager Giovanni di Noto says the initiative has become an important part of Omega 365 Lithuania’s social responsibility efforts. The company aims to support the region by fostering future engineering talent and engaging with academic partners.
“As a 24/7 global technology hub serving Fortune 500 clients worldwide and an anchor organization within the Western Lithuanian technology market, Omega 365 Lithuania continuously takes its corporate social responsibilities to higher grounds, for example via close relationships with academic partners to foster new engineering talents.”
“Over the past few years, the synergies with Klaipėda City Council on High School Summer Programs have provided Omega 365 with another formidable vehicle to strengthen its Good Corporate Citizenship status. Via these programs, talented pupils are immersed into real-world projects, sharpening their skills and confirming their career goals. Within Omega, the program allows selected employees to strengthen their mentoring skills while contributing high operational value: everyone wins on all fronts.”
“These positive outcomes were once again achieved in 2025 with a champion team of six talented younger colleagues who successfully delivered on their goals over an intensive eight-week period. We wish them all the best with their academic and future professional achievements and look forward to welcoming a new cohort of young professionals in summer 2026,” he says.
Student experiences
This year’s participants share that the program gave them not only technical skills but also a clearer perspective on their future careers.
Motiejus Valiūnas has already been programming for years, but he says the internship gave him valuable new insights.
“I found out what it actually looks like to work in an IT job, whether I feel happy in such a role and if I could handle it. I also learned which skills help me get by and which ones I still need to practice. This spared me the fear or confusion I might have experienced when starting a full-time job and helped me confirm that I want programming as my career.”
He highlights the importance of teamwork.
“Despite my programming knowledge helping me with most tasks, my colleagues were a major support whenever I was confused or needed help solving an issue. If I had to choose a summer job again, I would definitely choose Omega 365. I recommend this program to anyone who wants to try their hand in IT and programming, even if they are not specifically aiming for website testing or automated test programming.”
Dovydas Baniulis plans to study and work in software engineering and describes how the internship bridged the gap between theory and practice.
“Working at Omega 365 helped enhance my theoretical knowledge with practical skills and gave me an understanding of how big projects are managed. The workplace atmosphere is amazing, everyone is welcoming and ready to help you grow, which I believe is the most important aspect of any collective.”
He adds that the program has strengthened his motivation.
“I recommend this program to anyone interested in software development or programming in general, and if possible, I would like to attend again next year.”
Jonas Žiulys discovered a new direction through his tasks.
“Since my first day at Omega 365, I have been learning about website errors, warnings, and how to document them properly. Later, more interesting tasks came along, involving code conversion and troubleshooting. Those tasks really pushed me toward a field I did not yet know I wanted, electronic engineering.”
He says the supportive environment made a big difference.
“The most useful things for me throughout this internship were the very helpful colleagues and of course my mentors who led me through the program. If my line of work does not change, another internship next year would be extremely beneficial. I would recommend the program to other pupils interested in code and programming.”
Building for the future
HR Officer Alina Šoparė says the High School Summer Program has become a vital way for Omega 365 Lithuania to engage with the local community, support youth, and strengthen its own culture of mentoring.
“At Omega 365 Lithuania, we see the High School Summer Program as a vital part of developing the next generation of IT professionals in our region. By engaging talented pupils early, we help them gain not only technical skills but also confidence in their career choices, creating a natural pathway for future internships and potential long-term careers with us.”
“The program also contributes to the growth of our own employees, who step into mentoring roles and strengthen their leadership and communication abilities. These experiences are invaluable for their professional development and help foster a culture of knowledge sharing and teamwork across our organization.”
She adds that the initiative reflects the company’s broader values.
“Supporting Klaipėda’s youth, working hand in hand with local partners, and opening our doors to the community demonstrates the values Omega 365 stands for — openness, collaboration, and continuous learning.”
